2020-2021 School Year 시작

요한복음 수업이 시작됐다. 지난주까지는 오리엔테이션을 주목적으로 온라인 스쿨/learning에 필요한 기본적인 에티켓들을 인지시키고, 그다음에는 온라인 플랫폼들(Google Classroom, Flipgrid, Padlet, etc.)을 셑업하고 연습해 보는 시간을 가져보았다.

이번 주부터는 본격적으로 요한복음으로 dive in! 간단한 개요 내용을 전달하고 본문을 읽고 질문을 던지는 레슨을 시작했다.

그 첫 과제로 요한복음의 프롤로그를 읽고 질문 10개 만들기를 해봤는데, 아이들이 그동안 한참 쉬었다고 시동 거는데 조금 시간이 걸리는 듯한 느낌을 받았다. 과제에 일일이 코멘트들을 달아주고, 질문들을 정리하고 refine 하는 과정을 거친 후, 각자가 생각하는 best 2 질문을 반 전체와 나누기로 했다. 아래의 글들이 그 결과물들이다. (쏘리. 좀 길다. For my own record)

-How long ago was the beginning? (v.1) 심오한 질문.

-Why did John start from all the way from "the beginning"? (v.1) 훌륭해. 내가 준 샘플 질문에서 나온 질문이기는 하지만.

-What does it mean when it says "God was the Word"? (v.1) 그렇지. 이게 어렵지.

-When the Bible says, "the light shines in the darkness, but -the darkness has not understood it", what does it mean? Is it trying to show that God is trying to turn the wicked people's ways back to light? (v.5) 뭔가를 좀 깊이 생각하려고 늘 애쓰는 아이의 질문.

-What was it that the darkness did not understand? (v.5)

-How old was John when God sent him (v.6)? 이런 거 궁금해하는 애들 꼭 한 명쯤은 있다.

-Why did GOD choose John to be his witness? What is the purpose? (v.6) 그리고 왜 그 사람이었는지 궁금해하는 애들도 꼭 있다. 그게 누 구이든지 간에.

-What caused everyone to not recognize Him? (v.10)

-The Bible is retelling the fact that even though God made us and everything, the world/ people didn't recognize him. (v.10)
What does it mean that “his own did not receive him"? (v.11)

-It is talking about how we all sin, and the act of sin shows that we do not want to be with Him? (v11) 틀린 말은 아니지만, 결론으로 빨리 jump in 하는 아이.

-When did the people see the Word's glory? (v.14) 요한복음에 대해서 뭔가 아는 아이인가? ㅎㅎ

-What does it mean by becoming flesh? How did the Word become flesh? (v.14) 당연히 알 거라고 생각하고 그냥 넘어갈 뻔. 그래서는 절대로 안 되는 주제.

-What does the passage mean when it says "Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given"? (v.16) 그러게 말이다. 이거 내가 설명하려고 한 적 있는데, 어렵더라.

-What does it mean “the grace and truth was given through Jesus Christ”? (v.17) 그렇지. 프롤로그가 한 번에 이해하기는 어려운 내용이 좀 많지.

-In verse 18, it says that no one has ever seen God, but the one in the father's side has made him known. Didn't people in Genesis see God? (v.18)

-Doesn’t John himself see God in Revelation? (v.18) 요한복음 질문하라니까 벌써 계시록까지 간 아이도 있다.

일일이 다 답을 해줄 것도 아니면서 왜 이렇게 질문을 만들라고 하냐고 할 수도 있을 것 같다. (미안하다, 나의 학생들아. ㅎㅎㅎ) 하지만, 성경 공부를 인도할 때마다 느끼는 점은 남녀노소를 막론하고 우리가 질문하지 않는다는 사실이다. 지금은 하기 싫어도 언젠가는 도움이 될 것이라 굳게 믿고, 아이들과 밀당을 잘해서 잘 이끌 수 있기를... 요즘 너무 바빠서 뉴스도 거의 잘 못 보는데, 에효... 진짜... 그에 대해서 말도 하기 싫은 뉴스들... 이러한 교육의 방향성과 방식이 어떻게든 생각하는 성도로 자라게 했으면 바람이 가득하다. 멀리 보고 하는 일. 당장은 잘 모르겠다. 어떠한 임팩트가 있을지. 그래도 간다. 나에게 주어진 길을.
