사무엘하 11장 사무엘하 11장의 다윗과 밧세바의 이야기로 수업을 진행하다가 이것은 과연 rape이냐 아니냐에 대한 토론이 시작됐다. 한 아이는 성경에 rape이라는 표현이 사용되지 않았기 때문에, 그렇게 볼 수 없다고 했고, 다른 아이는 그럼에도 불구하고 다윗이 왕으로서 가진 권력을 생각했을 때 밧세바가 거부할 수 없었을 것이라는 주장을 펼치기 시작했다. 질문에 질문이 꼬리를 물어 왜 밧세바는 roof top 같이 잘 보이는 곳에서 씻었냐라는 질문을 했다 (본문을 자세히 읽어보면 roof top에 있었던 것은 다윗이고, 밧세바는 아니다). 질문이 쉴세 없이 쏟아지는데 종이 쳐서 내일 토론을 이어가리로 하고 수업을 급하게 마무리했는데, 집에 와서 이 본문을 좀 더 깊이 살펴보고 리서치도 해보다가 정말 뚜껑이 열리는 줄 .. 더보기

코로나바이러스와 예배 코로나바이러스 때문에 전 세계가 긴장 모드인 것 같다. 우리 단체 국제 미팅들이 줄줄이 캔슬되고 있는 상황이고, 우리도 당장 다음 달 여행 일정을 취소해야 하는 상황이 돼서 비행기표를 다 날릴 판국이다. 이 와중에 한국의 상황은 하루가 다르게 확진자의 수가 늘고 있고, 특별히 신천지와 관련해서 여러 가지 우려가 나오고 있는 상황이다. 대형 교회를 중심으로 확진자가 계속해서 나오고 있는데, 어떤 이들에게는 종교의 이름으로 질병과 싸우는 판국이 되었다. 나는 주일 예배와 소모임들을 취소해야 한다고 생각한다. 질병이 무서워서가 아니라, 세상은 간 곳 없고 구속한 주만 보면서 모임을 강행하는 것이 우리의 믿음을 보여주는 것이 아니라고 생각하기 때문이다. 나는 비교적 보수적인 교단에서 자랐고 내 신학의 기초도 보.. 더보기
